Lighten the Load
Sunday, December 26, 2021
Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you were able to spend your Christmas with those you love or do the things you love. Last week we talked about self-care, and that means different strokes for different folks. This week I want to focus on spaces and places, and the importance of making sure your space and place serves you. I was in my early twenties when I made the connection between an organized space and my productivity, as well as my mental health. As we gear up for our year of no excuses 2022, I want to spend a little time with you this week to talk about getting rid of what blocks your mojo. Before we continue, I want you to make the commitment to yourself, do an inventory check and get rid of what no longer serves you. Don’t be afraid, get rid of it, lighten your load. Let me be clear, in addition to clearing out your spaces, I’m also talking about re-assigning the priority you give to certain folks. On your path to process, there are some things and people you’ll need to say goodbye to, and it doesn’t make you mean or ungrateful. When you look at the story of Moses, you see how God had to shed him of his environment and his adoptive family in order for him to claim his true inheritance. Don’t allow spaces, places, and people to hold you back from what you are meant to do. As we close out the year, take the time to do some cleaning with your purpose in mind. Drop me a line and tell me what you think you need to reassess as you head into the New Year. Once again, Merry Christmas everybody. Stay blessed, God’s got your back. Take care everyone and keep on keeping on.
PS In preparation for next week’s Mindset Sunday, the focus will be on your vision and your plan(s) for 2022.
