Happy New Year everybody!!! May God’s grace and favor follow you always. As we get ready to kick off our year of No Excuses for 2022, I want us to get some housekeeping issues out of the way. In anticipation of what I’m claiming will be a productive and successful year, I wanted all of us to start off somewhat on a level playing field. This is what I want you to consider, you are what you think. The bible tells us, as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. The heart that is referenced in the text of Proverbs 23: 7 is the mind. Whatever you believe, you will become. Another way to look at it is, be mindful of what you allow to penetrate your subconscious. When I was in my early twenties I firmly believed in the idea of self-fulling prophecy, but I didn’t know that it was a biblical principle when applied correctly could have broken the stronghold of fear and all the other things that held me back for so long. Think of your mind as a highly valuable piece of real estate, self-doubt, fear, anger, pride are some of the things that decrease the value of your property and render it useless. To protect your property, I want you to check as best you can every piece of information that is coming in. What do I mean? Every time a negative thought comes to mind, check it, rebuke it, then deny it entry. If someone wants to define you with words that are not of your Creator, check it, rebuke it, then send it back where it came from. It’s time-consuming and exhausting, but it’s worth every minute. The more consistent you are with this check and balance; your mind is less likely to become colonized by the things that will prevent you from walking in your purpose or achieving your goals. As we look towards a new week and a new year, create a mantra for yourself that will help you as you walk in purpose. Let this mantra be your rallying cry as you work through the process towards your goals. Keep on keeping on everybody and be blessed.
