To everything there is a season

As we’re still early in the year another piece of housekeeping item I want us to tackle is taken directly from my book Prayer and Purpose.  This is another one of those things that if I had understood them early enough would have saved me time, money, and a lot of headaches.  It’s the idea that to everything there’s a season.  Sounds simple, doesn’t it? Well, you ever hear that common sense isn’t all that common? What I want you to get out of the passage from Ecclesiastes 3:1 is this, do not make permanent decisions for temporary situations.  Whatever it is you’re going through, it too shall pass.  Do not further complicate your life or your position because you cannot see beyond your present circumstance.  Sometimes the trials that befall you are meant to teach.  Not every storm that blows in your port is meant to destroy you.  Rather than reacting blindly to the difficulty or difficulties you face, take a step back and assess or reassess.  If your next move will create more problems than solutions, drop it like it’s hot.  Not every problem demands immediate action and some situations we find ourselves in need no action at all.  Remember, if you’re in a season of tearing down, certain feelings will come with the territory, and when you’re in your season of rebuilding it too will come with its own sets of challenges.  It’ll be ok, take the time to understand where you are, once your vision is clear, the path forward will always reveal itself.  Thanks for spending some time with me, keep on keeping on everybody and stay blessed.
