Hello beautiful people, I hope you are all well. This week I want to talk to you about the importance of having a plan. I know I talk a lot about making the vision plain, but once the vision is plain you need to put it on paper. Once the vision is plain, it will inform the plan. I hear people say, my plan is in my head. Well, I hate to tell you the plan that stays in your head won’t do much for you. When you put your plan in writing it is acknowledging that you are in a process of change and growth. Acknowledging change is the understanding that your present condition cannot get you to where you need to go. Growth is accepting that your skillsets can be improved, then using your newly acquired skillset in a manner that serves you and is of service to others. Another thing I want to remind you about having a plan is, once you have the plan you’ll notice whenever you go off in the weeds, whether on social medial, watching tv or anything that tends to distract you’ll find that the plan will always draw you back in. For example, writing my blog post is baked into my content planning time. I’ve allocated a specific time and a certain number of blogs that I need to write. If I find myself going off track, out of nowhere the thought will come, “don’t you have blogs to write”? Having a plan helps keep me accountable and it allows me to monitor my progress. Make sure that flexibility is baked into your plans. My plan is strong enough to support my vision but flexible enough that if something is not working it can be adapted. If you’re wanting a different result when it comes to accomplishing your tasks or goals get yourself a plan that is flexible and has time stamp benchmarks. Come on, your future awaits. As always, thanks for spending some time with me. Stay blessed and keep on keeping on.
