Hello beautiful people! March is here, and that means spring is one step closer. I hope you are all striving and thriving, marching towards your goals (pun intended). If you’re experiencing difficulties, reassess if needed, and don’t forget to show yourself some grace. Last week we talked about setting boundaries, this week, it’s all about protecting your mindset. Listen! a positive mindset is an accomplishment, don’t allow hearsay and negativity to tear it down. A healthy mindset is an integral part of a healthy you because it permeates every aspect of your life. Protecting your mindset is constant work but made more difficult if you’re still in the valley of indecision about who you are. When you are firm in who you are it is easy to recognize your stressors. It becomes much easier to say “no”, to set firm boundaries to protect your peace. For some folks, it can be hard to protect something they don’t see, so I want you to think of your mindset as a country with its own borders. Who and what you allow in is vital to your “country’s” security. At the airport, have you ever seen people pulled to the side by security while their paperwork is being validated? Well, you need to do the same with people and information that tries to gain access to your mind space. Don’t be afraid to take the time to assess and reassess the information you hear before it’s allowed to settle in your subconscious, because once there, it can derail and destroy your peace of mind. As always thanks for spending some time with me and keep on keeping on.
