Mindset Sunday

Here we go again

Hello my loves! I hope that wherever you are, you’re well.  I changed my original post because I wanted to write about a few things.  I created this blog as a space where we can come to learn, grow, and inspire to live the lives we were meant to live.  I was brutally reminded that not all of us get to live.  There are forces in this world who believes that people like me should be wiped out or be relegated to the eternal fields of the southern plantation.  The illogical stench of racism has once again reared its monstrous head on a devastating scale.  Watching the pain and grief of the families of the Buffalo massacre was s#%&+=!!.  I used symbols because I have no words to adequately express the pain and the horror that revisited me at the thought that on any given day a sadistic, racist, mind colonized by hate and fear can devastate a whole community.  I’m not naive though, because I know that there are so many stories of hate and injustice that embody the black life, be it overt or through the deluge of microaggression.  I deliberately did not address solutions because if we’re honest, we know what the solutions are.  The body collective is sick, tired, and dying talking about solutions.  I firmly believe that there’s a time for everything, but if I’m honest, it’s beyond frustrating living in this skin, with children, waiting for a time when those who peddle an ideology of hate and greed will enter their season of downturn.  As always, thanks for spending some time with me, and keep on keeping on.
