Go big or go home

Hello beautiful women of vision and purpose.  Do you see spring at the end of your geographical tunnel?  If you can’t wait for the tulips to bloom, remember, after winter must come spring.  This week it’s all about risks.  When I started working for my former employer, one of the questions I had to answer was, how comfortable was I in taking risks? I was a little over thirty years away from retirement so certain opportunities were recommended to me. By contrast, if I were risk-averse and had ten or fewer years to retire, then that recommendation would change as I may not have enough time to recover from a devastating loss. It was also highlighted that regardless of the length of time to retirement if I were willing to take certain risks, the potential rewards would be worthwhile.  You might feel like pursuing your purpose or your gift is stepping out into the unknown and a risk you’re not willing to take, but growth is unlikely to occur in your comfort zone. The point I’m trying to make is this, we are all given an allotted amount of time here on earth, but unlike the retirement age, we don’t know when our time is up.  Don’t fall prey to the fallacy of “I’m too old” or “it’ll take too long”.  Regardless of your action or inaction, time moves forward. Why not take the chance and pursue the vision for your life?  Deny your local cemetery the wealth of your potential.  As always, thanks for spending some time with me, and keep on keeping on.
