Mindset Sunday

Hello beautiful people! Yea it’s official! spring is here. Spring is often looked at as a season of renewal, and why not? The snow is melting, the flowers are starting to bloom and the birds are chirping. With all the promise of new life and new opportunities, don’t forget to take care of yourself. This week we’re going to pause a little and and I want you to reflect on your process and progress. I know there are many things vying for your attention and it’s easy to get caught up with the this and that of life, but do the things you obsessed about bring you any closer to your goals? In this season of possibilities, I want us to all take the opportunity to do a little less majoring in minor details. While we slowly ween ourselves off the fantasy wheel of multi-tasking, let’s take a little time to sit in the present.  If your math isn’t mathing and your reality isn’t matching your expectation, determine how realistic your expectations are.  Sometimes the struggle lies with the unrealistic expectations we burden ourselves with, oftentimes as a result of comparison. Then we prolong the struggle by beating ourselves when the math doesn’t add up.  If you are under the burden of unrealistic expectations, take a load off and realign your plans with benchmarks that are S.M.A.R.T (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely).  Don’t be afraid to go back to the drawing board, your plans should never be so fixed that they’re inflexible nor should they be so fluid that its meaningless. As always thanks for spending some time with me and keep on keeping on.
