Hello beautiful people. How’s it going? This week’s Sunday Mindset is a refocus on doing the things that make us feel good. Activities that might help get us out of a funk and start feeling better about ourselves. For my OG’s you know my nails are part of my self-care routine. It’s one of the things on my list that makes me feel put together. If my eyebrows are in shape, my lips are moisturized, and my nails are done, then I’m good to go. Depending on my monthly budget I’ll pick and choose from my list what gets done, but those three are non-negotiable. If your money is funny and your change is scarce decide if you can do some of the things on your list yourself. To help reduce my self-care cost, I’ve learned how to take care of my eyebrows, that acquired skill has saved me time and money. I might even dabble in a pedicure or two. In my Wednesday blog a few weeks back I talked about taking stock of where you are in your process so you can move forward in strength. The same concept applies to your self-care. Stop putting your needs and wants on the backburner, that low kindle will eventually burn. Be in-tuned with your needs and validate them, again this doesn’t have to involve a great deal of money. It only needs your commitment to affirm that your needs are important and that you’re worth it. Come on, get started and be consistent. Level up your self-care routine, and by that, I mean, start taking care of yourself so that you’ll have what you need to take care of everything else.
